The World Bank Group is recruiting an HR Analyst (Relocation/Mobility) to support staff and their families who are located or being assigned initially to Washington, D.C. or to the World Bank Group’s field offices.

	The World Bank Group’s HR/Global Mobility Program (HRSGM) provides relocation/mobility support to staff and their families in order to enhance Bank’s recruitment and retention efforts facilitate family integration and enhance staff’s effectiveness.

	Clients include staff and families from the World Bank Group (WBG and the Inter American Development Bank (IDB). The HRSGM team consists of experienced advisors, many of whom have international mobility experience gained through a vide variety of domestic and international organizations and work settings.  The unit uses a variety of channels to deliver these services including individual meetings, e-mail consults, seminars/workshops and referrals to outside vendors. Services provided by the unit include the following:

•	Mobility and relocation support service for HQ-based staff which primarily focuses on spouse/partner employment; facilitation of relocation and integration including schooling guidance, support for housing search, advice on child care options, and domestic abuse prevention.  While providing such services, advisors are asked to pay critical attention to issues which are particularly affected by the special nature of G4 Visa status.   

•	Support to staff moving to Country Offices consists of briefings, delivery of a monthly Overseas Briefing Seminars; development of country briefings; spouse career support mostly through the use of a UN network of country-based spouse/partner career coordinators; case managing the relocation of staff among relevant Bank units; coordinating relocation services provided by country-based contractors or conversely providing resources and guidance for staff to procure such relocation support; and assist and coordinate relocation support for staff at exit.

Duties and Accountabilities

The staff, under the supervision of the Program Manager, will work of with a team of relocation specialists to:

	 Provide relocation service, including referrals and support, when appropriate, to Bank staff and families moving overseas and to those coming to Headquarters in Washington DC.
	Respond to queries from staff and family members concerning their relocation support needs. This should be done both upstream and while staff are on board in order to manage staff expectations, clarify relocation procedures and policies, and alleviate frustration over the pace of various relocation processes.
	Design and conduct workshops and seminars on relocation support and related resources to staff and families.
	Develop and maintain an on-line list of local and international resources which can be utilized to facilitate staff and family transition support.
	Research and share best practices with staff, team members and HR colleagues to solicit feedback on relocation services.
	Compile and maintain monthly data and reports on staff relocation support needs and services used by staff and families for billing purposes and for HR teams information.
	Deliver presentations about Unit services during new staff orientation.
	Assess relocation needs of staff and their families and make suggestions for future program support areas as needed.
	Conduct effectiveness surveys on services provided for program improvement.

Selection Criteria

	A Masters degree or equivalent in international education, cross-cultural management, behavioral sciences or a Bachelors degree with at least 2 years of directly related experience.
	A Global Mobility Service Provider certification or equivalent from ERC; SHRM or other credible relocation and mobility organizations.
	Relevant professional expertise in at least one of the following relocation areas: Housing/real estate search or property management and Education guidance and counseling both US and international; international relocation planning; and intercultural management.
	Experience living and working abroad particularly,  in Africa.
	Ability to design and deliver presentations on relocation support services.
	Demonstrate ability to learn key HR policies areas as they relate to relocation.
	Keen and genuine interest in team work and team building.
	Ability to balance clients, client orientation, drive for results, teamwork, learning and knowledge sharing.
	Ability to operate sensitively in multi-cultural environments and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues.
	Demonstrated ability to show empathy to staff and their families’ adjustment challenges.
	Effective oral and written communication skills, including ability to establish rapport with a wide range of clients.
	Fluent written and spoken English; competency in other languages is a plus.
	Proficiency in the use the use of specialized computer applications, software applications and data bases, including excel and power point.
	Professional experience in child care and elder care services will be considered a plus.
	Preferred candidates are those who have a blend of domestic and international mobility support experience, are quick learners and can work effectively in multicultural teams.
